RDIF says it, Chemrar start exports of Avifavir drug for COVID-19
MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and medical research group ChemRar have started to export the Avifavir drug that may be efficient in treatment of COVID-19, the RDIF said in a statement on Thursday.
"The drug was sold to 35 regions across entire Russia in June as well as to the Republic of Belarus. Avifavir will also be sold to the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has been already agreed. Over 100,000 treatment series will be produced within a month," the fund said.
The fund also said that negotiations to sell the pharmaceutical to several Latin American states are held.
The capacity of the joint venture between the RDIF and Chemrar stands at 300,000 treatment series per month.
